Reddit Marketing Agency: How Much Does It Cost and What Should It Deliver?

Hiring a Reddit agency means handing your brand's reputation to people who will speak on its behalf in demanding communities. Price matters, but what gets delivered matters even more.
Price ranges
Reddit agencies usually charge a monthly retainer. For an ecommerce brand, the most common ranges are:
- €1,000 to €2,000 per month for a basic presence: a few posts and dozens of targeted comments each month;
- €2,000 to €5,000 per month for full management: dedicated accounts, regular posts, targeted comments, brand monitoring and a detailed report;
- more for large brands active in many communities, or combining organic work with Reddit ads.
For reference, our plans at Upnext Agency range from €1,000 to €4,000 per month, with no commitment. They are detailed on our homepage.
What a good agency should deliver
- Accounts dedicated to your brand, properly prepared and not shared with other clients.
- A community strategy: which subreddits, why, and with what angle (see how we choose them).
- A clear volume: how many posts and comments per month.
- Brand monitoring: the threads that mention you, and replies to questions and criticism.
- A readable monthly report: what was published, real engagement, traffic and sales when trackable.
- Your right of review: the option to approve content before it goes live.
Questions to ask before signing
- 1How do you prepare accounts, and how long before the first mention of my brand?
- 2What happens if an account gets limited or banned?
- 3Do you post fake customer reviews? (The only right answer is no.)
- 4Can I see examples of real posts and comments?
- 5Is there a minimum commitment?
Red flags
- A promise of results within a week.
- A very low price for a huge volume: often spam, which ends in bans and a bad reputation.
- Bought accounts or accounts shared between clients.
- No concrete example to show.
- Talk about "hacking" Reddit rather than taking part in its communities.
Agency or in-house?
Doing Reddit in-house is possible if someone on the team knows the platform and can spend several hours a week on it, for months. Otherwise, a specialized agency moves faster and avoids costly mistakes (a banned account, a thread mocking the brand).
